Coronavirus may still be here but we are taking advantage of the digital world and have put together some events from organisations across the city for our virtual Ageing Well Festival. Most events will be on the 1st October but there are a few others during the week.

Join us for 45 minutes of moderate activity and learn a range of exercises to improve strength, balance and stability on your feet and improve your confidence.

Give yourself some much needed self-care & learn how to give yourself a hand massage led by Enna an experienced therapist (oil advised – vegetable oil is fine!)

GUIDED ART SESSION WITH RESIDENT ARTIST ST. JOHN

2pm – 2.45pm

Join an experienced artist and follow his gentle guidance to create your own pencil masterpiece. (pencil and paper needed)

Join Kate and learn an easy to follow popular and classical Indian dance set to vibrant Bollywood music.

MUSIC AND WELLBEING

2pm – 3pm

A short session about how music affects mood and how you can use music playlists to aid memory, recollection and reminiscence. Emily, lifestyles lead & Saskia, lifestyles assistant are at the start of their journey learning about the benefits of using music with residents living with dementia. In this interactive virtual session, they will share with you a few top tips about creating meaningful musical, playlists for yourself and for your loved ones. You will need A4 paper and a dark, thick marker pen or felt tip. You will also receive info about free resources you can use to start putting together a playlist for yourself or others.
